Dorcas was a model Christian woman, described in the New Testament book of Acts ... a sincere believer who was active in the life of her church, her family and her community. The PCRC organization that bears her name has a similar commitment.
The Dorcas Ladies’ Aid ministry meets at 2 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. New members are always welcome. Dorcas began a new study in September. Meetings include Bible study, a brief business session, an offering, and a time of fellowship over coffee and snacks. The funds they raise are usually divided at Christmas time among area outreaches that include Hope Haven, New Life Treatment Center, and prison ministries.
